Brawny towing capability; smooth, powerful V8 engines; generous standard features; standard entertainment options
Toyota has increased standard equipment and also raised prices on the Toyota Sequoia for 2010. However options have been simplified, leaving fewer standalone extras than before. Bluetooth, satellite radio and MP3 compatibility, a USB port, and aux-in jack are now part of the standard audio system. Safety gets a boost as well with new standard knee airbags for front occupants and daytime running lamps. And three new colors--Blizzard Pearl, Sandy Beach Metallic, and Spruce Mica--join the palette. The 2010 Toyota Sequoia also gets a new standard 4.6-liter V8 engine that makes 34 more horsepower, yet returns better fuel economy than the former 4.7L V8. And all models now include a 6-speed automatic transmission.
