Extreme Garage Makeover: Dodge Edition

Car owners continually obsess about the state of their vehicles, but seem to spend relatively less time thinking about the structure that houses them, namely the garage. This seems a bit backward to us—after all, if you own a choice car like the 2015 Dodge Challenger (pictured), why wouldn’t you give it a nice place in which to “live”? For those who would welcome an “Extreme Makeover” of their garage, Dodge hears you loud and clear and has designed a contest for your needs. One lucky Dodge car owner or lessee will have the opportunity to score a garage makeover worth approximately $20,000. Dodge is promoting its “Garage Fit for a Dodge” contest on Facebook and the rules for it are simple. To enter, contestants must each produce a video, with a maximum length of 60 seconds, which showcase their Dodge vehicles and illustrate why a garage makeover is needed. They would then upload their videos the Dodge Facebook page by the September 21 deadline. A panel of judges will then evaluate the video entries based on such criteria as creativity, originality, thematic consistency and overall quality. From the general pool of contestants, five finalists will be selected. On October 7, videos of the five finalists will be displayed on the Dodge Facebook page, and fans can vote for their favorite video once per day during the submission period. The winner of the Dodge garage makeover contest will receive customizable Contur cabinet solution and a customizable Swisstrax flooring, while the four remaining finalists will receive a Hi-Kab Kompact storage cabinet from Contur Cabinet Ltd. The voters are by no means left out either: each vote an individuals places on the Dodge Facebook page gives him or her one entry in a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 cash prize. Dodge President and CEO Tim Kuniskis summarizes the appeal of the Dodge garage makeover contest. “The Dodge brand is offering fans a unique opportunity to bring the style and design of their Dodge brand vehicle to their home garage,” said Dodge President and CEO Tim Kuniskis. “The ‘Garage Fit for a Dodge’ contest was designed to engage passionate consumers and to celebrate the space where they interact with their Dodge brand vehicle.” Individuals interested in participating in Dodge’s “Garage Fit for a Dodge” contest can do so by visiting the Dodge Facebook page. We’ll be sure to update our Auto Publishers readers on the results when they are posted in early October. Best of all to all participants! Image Credit: Dodge
