The 2019 Lincoln MKC is a Mechanic's Nightmare

Built to last and pretty to boot, the Lincoln MKC is an SUV that offers quality. When compared to other SUVs in the same class, the MKC gave owners the least amount of problems. It scored well in terms of mechanical, design, and accessories, in addition to overall quality. For the 2019 model, the car manufacturer is offering the vehicle with more standard features than most of its competitors, making it one to consider bringing home.

Lincoln is selling the compact SUV in four trim levels. These are the Base, Select, Reserve and Black Label. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is standard with the vehicle. This engine delivers 245 horsepower and 275 lb-feet of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic, the SUV’s engine operates smoothly. Front-wheel drive is standard with the MKC, but buyers can get the vehicle with all-wheel drive. Those who upgrade to a higher-level trim can also opt for a more powerful engine, which is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder. This engine gets 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. Those who want this engine will need to upgrade to all-wheel drive as well.

The Base model comes with 18-inch wheels, a power liftgate and rear parking sensors. It also has a review camera, leather upholstery and heated seats. Upgrading to the Select trim adds auto-dimming and upgraded leather upholstery to the vehicle, while the Reserve model comes with ventilated front seats and a hands-free liftgate. The Black Label is the highest available trim level, and those who get it will have adaptive suspension dampers, additional color choices and 19-inch wheels.

During a test drive, SUV buyers will appreciate the zip and power of the 2.3-liter engine. It reaches a speed of 60 miles per hour in 7.2 seconds while the brakes are nicely sensitive. When tested, the vehicle came to a stop from a speed of 60 miles per hour in 119 feet.

The exterior of the SUV is sporty and streamlined. In fact, its overall design is likely to remain trendy-looking for years. Inside the vehicle, SUV shoppers are sure to appreciate the comfortable seats, which make the MKC perfect for long road trips. The front storage bin is good-sized, and the rear seatbacks fold down to give owners access to 53.1 cubic feet of space.

Lincoln is equipping the vehicle with a Sync 3 infotainment system that’s user-friendly and offers a quick response. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard features. Vehicle buyers can upgrade their SUV to include a 14-speaker audio system.

The 2019 MKC comes in colors like white, silver, and black. Those who bring home the Lincoln will enjoy owning a vehicle that is likely to require few repairs while delivering a comfortable ride. This is an SUV that people won’t mind running errands in.
