2019 Ford Mustang: More Than a One Trick Pony

Ford just keeps on improving the Mustang. It gets better and better every year. For 2019, the car company updated the exterior, gave the muscle car plenty of power and improved the car’s handling and overall comfort. The vehicle comes in a coupe or a convertible, and buyers can get it in different trim levels. Ford is offering the car with an independent rear suspension, which is the first time it has done so in 50 years.

The 2019 Ford Mustang is available in five trim levels. They are the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and the Bullitt. New car buyers can get a convertible with any trim but the Base GT and the Bullitt model.

Ford equipped the Mustang EcoBoost with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. This motor gets 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission is a manual, but buyers can upgrade to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Even though the EcoBoost model is the base, Ford is equipping it with a good amount of standard equipment including a limited-slip rear differential, an electronic line-lock for better burnouts and 17-inch wheels.

Those who upgrade to one of the GT models will gain 18-inch wheels and a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Rear parking sensors and power-adjustable seats are also included.

The Bullitt is different from the other trims mainly via aesthetics. This trim has a Highland Green paint option available. It also comes with special wheels and Bullitt logos. Ford removed the rear spoiler on the Bullitt trim. The car company also gave the vehicle a 20 horsepower boost to 480 horsepower.

Inside the 2019 Ford Mustang, drivers will appreciate settling into a front seat that offers sporty bolstering and plenty of comfort. The controls are well-placed as are the air vents. Ford gave the interior of the Mustang enough cargo space for most people. For instance, two golf bags can be stored in the back. It also has small compartments for knickknacks.

If a buyer upgrades to a model with ventilated seats, then he or she will enjoy how quickly they cool down. The muscle car comes with technology features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a navigation system and a nice stereo.

As far as safety goes, the Mustang has systems like front collision warning, blind-spot monitoring and lane keeping assist. It has adaptive cruise control, which is perfect for long road trips, and buyers can get the car in colors like Magnetic Metallic, Race Red and Need for Green.

The 2019 Ford Mustang is a thrilling car to drive. It has plenty of power under the hood and handles as a muscle car should. With just enough styling nostalgia to appeal to Mustang purists, the 2019 model is a vehicle that Mustang fans will want in their garage.
